Cable conductor exposure tool

Abstract

This article is a tool for exposing the conductor by scraping off the covering at the end of a cable having a covering layer provided around the conductor, and is attached to an electric drill or the like for use. This article has an insertion hole at one end of a tube into which the end of the cable is inserted, a slidable stopper is inserted into the insertion hole, and a long groove is formed in the axial direction from the outer periphery of the tube to the insertion hole, and the head of a threaded rod having a threaded tip portion screwed into a screw hole in the outer periphery of the stopper is pressed against the outer surface of the tube through the long hole to tighten it, and one of a number of plunger mounting holes provided at intervals in the axial direction on the outer periphery of the tube is selected, a plunger is inserted into the plunger mounting hole, and the plunger is pressed against the recessed groove in the outer periphery of the stopper in the insertion hole, thereby fixing the stopper in the insertion hole, and the exposed length of the cable conductor can be set to a desired length by adjusting the position of the threaded rod in the long groove and the fixing position of the stopper by selecting one of the plurality of plunger mounting holes.
