Abstract

This article is used to protect the end face of a roll product formed by winding a film around a winding core, to prevent the film from slipping out in a bamboo shoot-like shape, and to prevent the film from coming into contact with a floor surface or the like and becoming soiled. This article is fixed to the end face of the roll product by placing a base plate on the end face of the roll product and clamping the end of the winding core between the upper clamping piece and the lower clamping piece. The lower clamping piece is fixed to the base plate. The upper clamping piece is provided with a through hole through which a screw member passes, and the lower clamping piece is provided with a screw hole into which the screw member screws. When the screw member is screwed into the screw hole of the lower clamping piece, the screw head of the screw member biases the upper clamping piece downward in the drawing, and this biasing force is used to clamp the end of the winding core between the upper clamping piece and the lower clamping piece. A female-threaded portion is provided inside the through hole of the upper clamping piece, and even if the screw member passes through the through hole of the upper clamping piece and comes out of the screw hole of the lower clamping piece, the threads of the screw member come into contact with the female thread inside the through hole, so that the screw member will not suddenly fall out of the through hole.
