Abstract
This item is a material for the purpose of rope protection to prevent rope breakage caused by contact with edges of building structures, etc. when extending the main rope and lifeline rope (rope for attaching fall arrest devices with required performance stipulated in Article 539-2 of the Industrial Safety and Health Regulations), which are essential when working at heights with ropes. It is rope protection equipment that protects each rope independently and prevents the ropes from slipping off, preventing workers from falling due to rope breakage, etc. Specifically, the main rope passing through the center line (median) of the worker's body and the lifeline rope passing around the left side of the body are asymmetrically arranged on the same (single) plate, with guide pins (high) and (low) of different heights to maintain a certain distance (approximately 30 to 40 cm) suitable for work, a guide lever arranged at the head of the higher guide pin to prevent the rope from slipping out and to set (insert) the rope smoothly, and a corner mold with a gentle R processing to ease the bending of the rope (concentration of stress on the edge contact part). This is because the main rope mentioned above is always on the center line of the worker (body), so it is preferable to have the main rope as close to the center of this item as possible, and it is asymmetrically arranged on the left side overall. In addition, by arranging the guide lever extended from the head of the guide pin (high) on the line where the rope is passed and at an angle of about 30 degrees to the center line where the rope passes, it is possible to easily insert the rope between the guide pin (high) and the guide pin (low) even in the middle of the stretched rope (both main and lifeline) (no need to pass the rope through from the end side), and it is also a form that makes it difficult for the rope to come loose even if the stretched rope becomes slack when the worker raises and lowers the rope. Therefore, unless the worker holds the rope and intentionally releases the inserted rope, the rope is unlikely to come loose, and safety is higher than with an arrangement with only guide pins.In addition, the guide lever acts as a guide when the rope is inserted, so the rope can be set (inserted) with one hand, making it quick to use (quick rope setting) and simple (hard to make mistakes). The guide pin is provided with a guide cap to prevent the rope from getting caught, and a female thread is provided to allow the connected guide lever to be moved in advance, and the guide cap or guide lever can be connected by attaching and detaching the fixing bolt. Therefore, the position of the guide lever can be changed according to the worker's dominant hand and ease of use (rope setting work). The guide cap also serves as a guide lever holder. In addition, to prevent the item from falling, there are multiple holes for fall prevention measures that can be used to fasten a fall prevention lanyard or connect a lanyard hook, etc., on the side opposite to the side that falls (the rope fulcrum that fastens the rope).
