Cam Unit

Abstract

This article is a cam unit used, for example, to punch holes in the body frame of an automobile. This article is a press die consisting of a movable die (upper side) and a fixed die (lower side), and is composed of an attachment base fixed to the movable die, a cam slider supported by the attachment base and biased in the return direction by an elastic member to reciprocate in a predetermined direction with a predetermined stroke, and a cam driver fixed to the fixed die for moving the cam slider in the acting direction on the contact surface. A punch tool (retainer) for punching holes is attached to the tip of the cam slider, and the movable die is moved up and down in a reciprocating manner to punch holes in the body frame with the punch of the cam slider.
