Abstract
This item is a trigger handle for a spectroradiometer used in the fields of agriculture, plant physiology, and plant phenotyping when analyzing the reflectance of plant leaves with a spectroradiometer. As shown in Reference Figure 1, which shows the usage state, the handle body of this item is equipped with a metal case having a contact probe at the front, a halogen lamp inside, an optical fiber connection at the top, and a power supply cable connection, and a cylindrical support with a black and white reference background for measurement is attached to the end of the sliding handle (hereinafter referred to as the "slider"). When using this item, first, as shown in Reference Figure 2, which shows the usage state, the handle body and the slider are both grasped, and a leaf to be used as a specimen is placed between the cylindrical support and the contact probe with optical glass at the tip. Next, as shown in Reference Figure 3, which shows the usage state, the slider is pulled to close the gap between the support and the contact probe, and the leaf is clamped in place. With this item clamped, a certain amount of light is irradiated from the halogen lamp, and the data of the reflected light is transmitted to the spectroradiometer through the connected optical fiber. When the measurement using the spectroradiometer is completed, the clamped state is released by pulling the tab on the slider, as shown in Reference Figure 4, which shows the usage state, and the slider is returned to its original position, releasing the leaf.
