Abstract

As shown in the reference perspective views 1 and 2 showing the usage state, when a groove-like recess 13 continuing horizontally between a top plate 11 and a furniture body 12 of a piece of furniture 10 such as a kitchen counter or a sink is formed, the present article 20 is incorporated into the recess 13 to serve as a trim material between the top plate 11 and the furniture body 12, and is typically formed by metal extrusion molding. As shown in the reference exploded perspective view, when the present article 20 is incorporated around the four sides of the furniture 10, four present articles 20 are cut to a predetermined length along imaginary lines intersecting the length direction of the present article at 45 degrees (see the reference perspective view), and adjacent present articles 20 are assembled so that the cut end faces of the adjacent present articles 20 butt against each other, so that a right-angle corner is formed by the adjacent present articles 20. As shown in the reference oblique view and the reference oblique cross-sectional view, this article 20 is configured so that the distance between the upper front portion 21 and the lower front portion 22 gradually decreases as it approaches the back surface 23, thereby forming a wedge-shaped space 24 between the upper front portion 21 and the lower front portion 22, and is provided with an auxiliary space 25 connected to the wedge-shaped space 24 behind the upper front portion 21 and above the lower front portion 22. By incorporating a light source 26 such as an LED tape light in this auxiliary space, it is possible to use the light from the light source 26 to be diffusely reflected by the corrugated rough surface 22a (see enlarged view of portion AB) on the lower front portion 22, thereby providing localized illumination of the wedge-shaped space.
