Abstract

This item is a trim material used to separate the tread of a spiral staircase from the wall or pillar that is in contact with the outer or inner circumference of the tread, and consists of a horizontal section and hanging sections hanging down from both ends. The hanging sections are in the shape of a right-angled triangle in cross section, with all corners except the right angle being chamfered to suit the angle where the tread meets the wall or pillar (see enlarged cross section of line A-A'). This item can be used by cutting the horizontal section at any position depending on the installation state, or by joining the cut surfaces together as appropriate (see Reference Figure 1 showing the state of use and Reference Figure 2 showing the state of use).
