Abstract

In the plan view of Fig. 8.1, the portion enclosed by the dashed rectangle indicates the boundary of the range constituting the part of the design for which registration is sought. The dashed line does not constitute the part of the design for which registration is sought. Fig. 8.2 shows an enlarged view of the range enclosed by the dashed rectangle in the plan view of Fig. 8.1. The difference in appearance between the inset in Fig. 8.1 and the enlarged view in Fig. 8.2 is due to the difference in the relative size of the images. The grayscale images in Figs. 8.1 and 8.2 do not represent a specific color. In Fig. 8.1, the partially blurred range with a translucent shadow does not constitute the part of the design for which registration is sought and is only for showing the periphery.
