Abstract

The house according to the present design is a two-story house with an upper floor and a lower floor. The house according to the present design has a void space that is a rectangular area in plan view directly below the sloped ceiling of the large roof that is inclined across the upper and lower floors. The void space has a glass window attached to the interior and exterior partition surface between the indoors and outdoors formed along the lower end part of the large roof, and a pit living space with a floor surface one step lower than the main floor surface of the lower floor is provided adjacent to the indoor side of the glass window. In addition, in the void space, an open staircase is installed diagonally from a lift floor part with a floor height similar to that of the main floor surface of the lower floor, which is provided at the corner part of the one partition wall surface and the one partition wall surface, along one partition wall surface perpendicular to the interior and exterior partition surface that divides the void space, toward the upper floor. Furthermore, the area between the pit living space and the one partition wall surface, including the area below the open staircase, is a planting space.
