Abstract

This item is an ornament that accurately reproduces the shape of an actual coffee bean. It is intended to be worn as a pendant necklace or on a string. It is made using the lost-wax casting method, a type of casting technique for producing metal products. A model is created in wax, covered with plaster, and the wax is melted and removed. Metal and precious metal materials are poured into the remaining cavity. Precious metal materials include pure gold and gold alloys, pure platinum and platinum alloys, and pure silver and silver alloys. Metal materials also include those with a plated finish.
