Removable oral appliance

Abstract

The removable oral appliance for which registration is sought is formed of a thin-walled body consisting of a U-shaped elongated portion of uniform width and thickness, a U-shaped outer wall extending vertically from the outer end of the elongated portion, and a U-shaped inner wall extending downward from the inner end of the outer wall. The upper part of the outer wall has a wave-like upper edge, and a curved depression is formed in the center front of the upper edge. The inner wall extending downward from the U-shaped elongated portion is slightly inwardly slanted, and its lower edge, as seen in rear view, has a wave-like shape with a depression in the center, and both sides are beveled to the ends of the U-shaped elongated portion. The removable oral appliance for which registration is sought in Variation 3 is characterized by the above common features, in addition to a shorter outer portion corresponding to the user's molar teeth, and a thicker U-shaped elongated portion compared to Variation 1. The design for which registration is sought is industrially repeatable using standard equipment and current materials.
