Long-handled dustpan

Abstract

This design is a partial design for the storage compartment of a dustpan with a long handle at the end, which automatically opens the front lid, the front cover of the storage compartment that serves as the garbage inlet, when the dustpan is placed on a flat surface to collect the garbage. After collecting the garbage, lift the long handle and raise the storage compartment in the air, and the front lid automatically closes. The storage compartment of this design has an opening on the side opposite the inlet side, with a rear lid attached to the opening. The rear side of the storage compartment and the rear lid are connected by a member that can be repeatedly bent by 90 degrees or more. The front side of the storage compartment and the rear lid are connected by a pair of fittings that fit the protrusions of the convex member into the hollow or recess of the concave member to join or separate. When collecting garbage, the fittings are fitted together to close the rear lid, and when discharging garbage, the long handle is held upright and the fittings are separated to open the rear lid. In Reference Figures 1 and 2, reference number 1 is a member that connects the long handle to the storage compartment and functions to open and close the front lid. 2 is the front cover, 3 is the storage section, 4 is the rear cover, 5A is a convex engaging member, and 5B is a concave engaging member. Reference Figure 1 is a front view of the design when the rear cover is opened to remove dust. Reference Figure 2 is a rear perspective view of the dustpan with the storage section of the design attached. Numbers 1 and 2 are not included in the design, but are drawn in solid lines in the reference drawing.
