Abstract

This item is a two-seater vehicle seat installed in a vehicle such as a railway car. This vehicle seat has two seat sections and backrests arranged side by side, one on each side. The backrests are supported at the rear end of each seat section so that the reclining angle can be adjusted, and the backrests and seat sections recline in unison. A headrest is provided at the upper front side of each backrest, and both sides of each headrest protrude forward. A reading light is provided on one of the sides of each headrest, located on the outside of the seat, and handrails are provided above each reading light. Sleeves, whose upper ends become armrests, are provided on both left and right ends of the seat to cover the sides of the seat, and armrests are added above the armrests. An in-arm table is stored in the sleeve below the armrest on the outside of the seat. The in-arm table is foldable and can be removed by opening the armrest and unfolding it to the left or right. A center armrest is provided in the center of the seat, between the left and right seat sections. Above the center armrest, a partition rises to the top of the backrest to separate the left and right spaces. A leg rest is supported below the rear end of each seat, allowing it to be folded down for use by rear seat occupants. A rear table, also for use by rear seat occupants, is supported and foldable on the back of each backrest, and a net-like pocket is attached.
