Positive Airway Pressure Unit

Abstract

This product is a positive airway pressure unit that continuously delivers a constant amount of air pressure through the nose of patients with sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS), a condition characterized by repeated apnea and hypopnea during sleep. This maintains a constant positive pressure in the upper airway, opening the airway and preventing sleep apnea, reducing snoring and improving sleep quality. As shown in the reference diagram showing the usage state, a tube with a nasal mask is connected to the circular outlet located in the center of the front view, and the nasal mask is placed over the user's nose. The buttons located in the center of the plan view, clockwise from the top left, are the wireless communication button, the light button, and the power button. Pressing the power button turns the unit on. Pressing the light button reduces the air pressure delivered to the airway below the set pressure and gradually increases it to the set pressure. Operating the wireless communication button allows wireless communication of sleep status data measured by the positive airway pressure unit to a smartphone or other device. Furthermore, the circular object located approximately in the center of the mark on the power button is a protrusion, as shown in the enlarged view of part AB, allowing button operation without visual inspection.
