Abstract

Design 2: A roll-pressed embossed pattern for imparting this design to a nonwoven fabric. Figure 2.1 is a plan view, and Figure 2.2 is a cross-section taken at a diagonal cut from the second protrusion from the bottom on the left side of Figure 2.1 to the fourth protrusion from the bottom on the right side of Figure 2.1 to show the desired embossed surface shape. The dashed elements do not form part of the design sought to be registered. The design is directed to the characteristic embossed surface shape of the embossing roll as shown and explained in the figure. All other side views are omitted, as they do not represent the object sought to be registered. Surface shading is for contour emphasis only and does not indicate ornamentation. The pointed open break lines at the three edges not sought to be registered in Figure 2.2 are not intended to be registered but merely indicate the possibility of continuation into adjacent areas.
