Abstract

The building in question is an opening associated with various fixtures, such as sliding doors and hinged doors, in living rooms of a house (see the enlarged views of C-C' and D-D' for reference). At the bottom of the vertical frame of the wall opening, a baseboard of the same shape as the wall surface is installed on the wall side, and below the vertical frame is a trim (thin plate; see the enlarged right side views of A-A' and B-B' and the enlarged views of C-C' and D-D') with a height the same as the thickness of the extension piece extending from the bottom end of the baseboard. Because the shape is continuous with the thickness of the extension piece of the baseboard, it realizes a building that serves as an aesthetically pleasing opening in a house.
