Tea whisk stand

Abstract

This tea whisk stand allows you to place a tea whisk with its tip facing downwards, thereby straightening or maintaining the shape of the tea whisk when its tip becomes deformed during use. It is commonly referred to as a tea whisk straightener or a tea whisk stabiliser. As shown in the reference diagrams showing the usage, this stand can be used upside down and accommodates various sizes of tea whisks. The example shown in Reference Figure 1, which shows the usage state, can accommodate relatively small tea whisk tips, such as small tea whisks used in outdoor tea ceremonies or long, slender tea whisks used for mugs. The example shown in Reference Figure 2, which shows the usage state, can accommodate standard or relatively large tea whisk tips, such as those known as hyakubondate or kasuho. The cylindrical space shown in the cross-sectional view along line AA is designed to accommodate the inner tea tip (chajimi) of the tea whisk.
