Abstract

This image is displayed on the display of a construction machine when the machine is being operated. As shown in the "Reference Diagram Showing the Operational State," the upper right corner of the image contains a control lever status display area that displays icons of the components that are the targets of operation of each control lever located in the driver's seat of the construction machine. Each icon has an arrow indicating the direction of movement of the corresponding component. For example, if an abnormality occurs in the construction machine during operation, if the control unit determines that the construction machine is at risk of tipping or breaking down, or if preset operating conditions are not met, the color of the arrows indicating the direction of movement of the components will change for all icons displayed in the control lever status display area, as shown in "Enlarged Image 1 Showing the Changed State of the Areas Encircled by AA to DD." In cases where operation of a specific control lever in a specific direction is prohibited due to a malfunction or other problem with a part of the construction machine being operated, or due to the control unit determining that operating a part of the construction machine in a specific direction may cause the construction machine being operated to tip over or malfunction, for example, only the color of a part of the arrow indicating the direction of movement of the part will change in some of the icons out of the multiple icons displayed in the control lever status display area, as shown in "Enlarged image Figure 2 showing the state in which the part surrounded by AA to DD has changed." When the color of the arrow indicating the direction of movement of a part is changing, if the control lever is operated to move the part to be operated in the direction of the change, the color of the arrow indicating the direction of movement of the part will further change, as shown in "Enlarged image Figure 3 showing the state in which the part surrounded by AA to DD has changed."
