Abstract

As shown in Reference Cross-sectional Views 1 to 3, which show the state of use, the bolt cap of this article comprises a cap body made up of a skirt portion with a hexagonal cross section that abuts against the side of a nut threaded onto a bolt and covers the nut, and a dome portion extending from the skirt portion so as to close one side of the skirt portion, and a cylindrical engaging portion with an internal thread on its inner circumferential surface stands upright from the inner top surface of the dome portion, separated from the inner side of the side portion of the dome portion by an annular groove. The cylindrical engaging portion is elastically deformed in the diameter-expanding direction by the bolt, allowing the bolt to be inserted, and its elastic restoring force in the diameter-reducing direction allows the internal thread to engage with the external thread of the bolt.
