Abstract

This item is an acrylic block composed of two paired plate members and a connecting member consisting of seven annular members integrally connected by a rod-like member extending vertically. The two plate members are connected via the connecting member so that they can rotate relative to each other through an angle of approximately 360 degrees around a vertical axis. This creates a dynamic design that allows the item to be in an open or closed state. The two plate members are made of transparent materials, and in one example, portions of their surfaces are colored. As shown in Reference Oblique View 1 showing the in-use state, Reference Oblique View 2 showing the in-use state, and Reference Left Side View showing the in-use state when closed, a predetermined character is drawn approximately in the center of one surface (first side) of the first plate, which is one of the two plate members, and a predetermined design is drawn on one surface (second side) of the other of the two plate members. In one example, the characters and designs are printed on the first surface of the first plate and the second surface of the second plate, respectively, and in another example, sheets bearing the characters and designs are detachably attached to the first surface of the first plate and the second surface of the second plate with adhesive or the like. The second surface of the second plate, for example, is colored a predetermined color around its periphery and has a transparent window formed in its center. When the first and second plates are placed one on top of the other so that the first surface abuts against the back surface of the second surface, the characters drawn on the first surface can be seen through the window, as shown in the reference left side view of the closed state, which represents the used state, forming an acrylic block in which the characters and the designs drawn on the second surface overlap.
