Trailer house interior

Abstract

The design in question is the interior of a room space within a trailer house. This room space comprises a floor, three adjacent U-shaped walls, and a hanging wall that faces the central wall of the three walls and spans between the two end walls. The floor is composed of a threshold, tatami mats, and a tokonoma alcove, with a central pillar erected in the threshold. The three walls are finished with exposed pillars and battens, as in the Shinkabe construction method, and a window on one wall is surrounded by the pillars and battens. Indirect lighting is provided behind the hanging wall.
