Abstract

This item is an ornament made by forming a folding screen from a thin metal sheet (for example, a thin silver sheet) using metal engraving, and fixing this folding screen ornament, in which the zodiac animal is depicted on the front of the screen using metal engraving, into a wooden case that has a frame-like structure with a transparent front panel and a circular window on the back panel that resembles the moon. Since the entire folding screen is made by engraving a thin silver sheet, the zodiac animal depicted on the back of the screen appears in reverse phase (reverse concavity and concavity) through the circular window in the back view.
