Heat transfer sheet

Abstract

This product is a thermal transfer sheet (ink ribbon) used in printers for photo printing and the like. The surface has color layers 1 to 3, a protective layer, and a spot color layer, with a detection mark placed between the protective layer and the spot color layer. The detection mark is provided because it is difficult for the printer to detect the space between the protective layer and the spot color layer. Furthermore, using a conventional black detection mark would increase the number of coating steps and inks used, thus increasing the number of manufacturing steps for the ink ribbon. Therefore, a color other than black, the same color as color layer 2, is used.
