Abstract

The article relating to the present design is an electrostatic speaker that can be connected to various devices and the internet. It consists of a speaker section covered with fabric material and a control section with a built-in control circuit, switches, and connection terminals. The speaker section has a structure in which an electroacoustic conversion unit, in which a vibrating body (electret sheet) is placed between a pair of electrodes made of conductive cloth, is sandwiched between two outer fabrics, and each component is sewn together with thread. When in use, a voltage is applied between the electrodes based on an electrical signal input from the outside, causing the vibrating body to vibrate and radiate sound in the direction of the surface. Furthermore, since this article can also convert air vibrations (sound) into electrical signals, it can also be used as a microphone.
