Abstract

The image diagram is primarily intended to provide information to the driver while driving. As shown in "Reference Diagram 1 showing usage," it consists of a "driving information display area" that shows the distance to the next guided intersection and right / left turns at that intersection with arrows, a "vehicle driving information display area" that shows the positional relationship between the next guided intersection and the current position with a semicircular bar graph, and a "cautionary information display area" that indicates the presence of places on the guided route where driving requires attention. For example, as shown in "Reference Diagrams 2-4 showing usage," the "cautionary information display area" displays a speed limit sign, indicating that the vehicle's speed needs to be adjusted due to a change in the speed limit on the road being driven on. The "driving information display area" displays the vehicle's speed, and the "vehicle driving information display area" uses the position where the speed limit sign is displayed as a reference point to show with a bar graph whether the vehicle's speed exceeds the speed limit. Furthermore, by coloring the bar graph and the vehicle's speed, it is possible to alert the driver if they are speeding. Furthermore, as shown in "Reference Figures 5-7 illustrating usage," the "warning information display area" can display a character to alert the driver in advance before driving, and the character's expression can change according to the driving situation to indicate whether the driver was actually driving correctly. This allows the driver to intuitively recognize route guidance and necessary warnings during route guidance, and to understand whether the driving is actually being performed correctly.
