Abstract

This device reads data from identity verification documents. The upper camera photographs the user of the device, and the facial image is displayed on the screen. Furthermore, by inserting an ID card with a photograph (which serves as identity verification) into the identity verification document slot and pressing the scan switch, the device can compare the user's facial image with the photograph on the scanned identity verification document to authenticate the user's identity. In addition, during operation, the translucent part of the device displays the position where an information medium capable of holding and providing information wirelessly should be held.
