Abstract

This product is a hat for sun protection, with the hat body having a crown and a brim forming the front half, and the sunshade cloth forming the back half. On the back surface of the back portion of the sunshade cloth, an elastic material is provided that extends over substantially the entire width of the back portion of the sunshade cloth at a position near the boundary between the back of the head and the neck when worn, forming an elastic gathered portion. The right and left portions of the sunshade cloth extend long in the left-right direction, as shown in the "reference plan view of the sunshade cloth in an unfolded state" and the "reference bottom view of the sunshade cloth in an unfolded state". When the hat is worn, the gathered portion of the back portion of the sunshade cloth gathers over substantially the entire width of the back of the head and the neck, thus preventing it from flapping in the wind. When worn, the right and left portions of the sunshade cloth may hang naturally around the neck, or they may be tied under the chin. Furthermore, as shown in the "Enlarged View of Section AB" and the "Reference Bottom View with Sunshade Fabric Spread Out," the sunshade fabric is detachably attached to the hat body by means of fasteners such as wire fasteners or hook-and-loop fasteners provided at the attachment points. This allows the sunshade fabric to be removed from the hat body for washing, making it highly hygienic.
