Abstract

The article relating to this design is a coolant nozzle for machine tools such as NC lathes. It has a structure in which a pipe made of a two-layer structure of polyethylene and aluminum is inserted and tightly fitted inside a stainless steel spiral tube. This part is flexible and can be freely bent by hand, and it has the function of holding its bent position. A metal threaded fitting is attached to one end by adhesive and crimping, and a cylindrical nozzle fitting is attached to the other end. This makes it possible to supply coolant liquid very close to the workpiece, and to effectively remove heat and chips from the workpiece.
