Abstract
This product is a vertical drain cover for painting, designed to prevent accidents that occur when painting work on general houses and apartment buildings involves covering the drainage drain on the balcony floor with plastic sheeting to protect areas that should not be stained with paint, or when only small holes are made in the plastic sheeting covering the drainage drain, and then, when a sudden downpour occurs, the balcony becomes like a pool, overflowing the sliding glass doors on the second floor, onto the interior floor, seeping through to the ceiling on the first floor, and into the first floor, resulting in a serious situation. Currently, many such leak accidents occur throughout the country. This is because, during painting work, paint mist is scattered by spray and roller application, so people try to protect as much as possible with plastic sheeting to prevent paint stains. However, they also think it's bad to block the drainage drain completely. But if they make holes in the plastic sheeting, the drainage drain will get stained with paint, so they struggle with this dilemma. As a result, it leads to water leak accidents. This product is larger than a vertical drain outlet and has a five-sided structure without a floor surface. It consists of a double structure with an outer wall and an inner wall, and the openings in the outer and inner walls are staggered. The outer wall touches the floor surface, but the inner wall does not, floating a few centimeters above the floor. This structure prevents paint mist from reaching the drain outlet after it has been placed over the drain outlet. We actually tested this by placing the product over a 50Φ drain outlet, filling a spray bottle with paint, and spraying paint mist from directly above, at a 45-degree angle, and at a 25-degree angle. As a result, when the drain cover was removed, the mist had stopped entering at about 10mm. It is a vertical drain cover for painting that stops within the area of the plastic sheeting in front, and even in the case of sudden heavy rain, rainwater continues to drain from the drain outlet. We actually tested the product by placing it over a 50mm diameter drain and using a commercial-grade engine-driven high-pressure washer to spray water at a rate of 13 liters per minute, simulating heavy rain. As a result, there was no sign of water accumulating at all, and the water flowed smoothly into the drain.Even if the lower wall opening becomes blocked by fallen leaves or other debris, a horizontal opening is provided above it to ensure overflow. The canopy above the horizontal opening prevents paint mist from entering the entire opening (including the horizontal opening overflow) from diagonally above. Finally, to set it up, cover the floor with plastic sheeting, remove the cap from the vertical drain, cut the plastic sheeting just before the drain, securely tape the ends of the plastic sheeting with duct tape to expose only the opening, and then insert the resin retaining member attached to the inside of the product into the drain while bending it into an inverted U shape by hand. It will then be secured by its restorative force. *Overall assessment: Unless there is an extremely strong wind, it was confirmed that paint mist will not enter due to the staggered wall configuration. It was also confirmed that water flows regardless of the staggered wall configuration and is sucked into the drain.
