Abstract
This product is a shoe cover used to cover the part of the shoe other than the sole in order to prevent sand and other debris from entering the shoe. This product consists of an upper band that wraps around the ankle and a skirt that covers the part of the shoe other than the sole. The upper band contains elastic, allowing it to stretch and contract in accordance with the user's movements during exercise, etc. Horizontal hook-and-loop fasteners are attached to both ends of the upper band, and similar horizontal hook-and-loop fasteners are also attached to both ends of the skirt slightly above the center in the height direction (approximately the center of the shoe cover as a whole). When the user puts on this product, they wear their shoes, open the product, wrap the upper band around their ankle, and close it on the outside of the ankle (right side for the right foot, left side for the left foot) using the hook-and-loop fasteners of the upper band and the skirt. Because these hook-and-loop fasteners are horizontally long, it can accommodate a wide range of ankle and shoe sizes. At the rear center of the skirt part of this product, where it is located at the heel when worn, a shape-fixing line is formed by sewing a triple fold from top to bottom. This shape-fixing line prevents the skirt portion of the product from rolling up, especially at the rear and overall, during the user's movements. Slightly below the upper band-shaped portion of this shape-fixing line, there is a bulge that curves outward when the product is worn. This bulge absorbs the difference in height between the upper band-shaped portion, which fits in the recess just above the wearer's heel (at the location of the Achilles tendon), and the skirt portion, which covers the upper edge of the rear of the shoe, allowing the product to fit neatly against both the ankle and the shoe at the rear.
