Kasa (hat)

Abstract

This item is a head covering used for purposes such as sun protection, rain protection, and snow protection. The item consists of a conical hat body and strings attached to the underside of the hat body so that both ends hang down. When wearing it, the hat body is attached to the head by tying the ends of the strings under the chin with the center of the strings touching the top of the head. This secures the hat body to the head so that it is not blown away by the wind, and also creates a gap between the hat body and the head to ensure ventilation, so it can be worn without attaching a stand.
