Abstract

This product is a heel counter (outside counter) that is attached to the heel of shoes such as sneakers for the purpose of protecting the heel, ensuring walking stability, and maintaining the shape of the shoe opening. As shown in the [Reference Diagram Showing the Use of This Product], it is attached to the outside of the heel on the upper of the shoe. Furthermore, this product does not cover the entire heel, but rather covers the back of the heel in a band shape along the height direction, and covers the inside and outside of the heel in a band shape diagonally downward from the upper end of the back towards the toe side and toward the outsole midsole. It is attached to the outsole midsole at three points: the lower back, the lower inside, and the lower outside of the band. It has a roughly T-shape when viewed from the front and rear. Furthermore, this product is made of a synthetic resin material such as elastically deformable EVA resin, and as shown in [AA line cross-section], [BB line cross-section], and [CC line cross-section], the middle part of the band-shaped region covering the back of the heel is thinner than the upper and lower parts. Therefore, when wearing shoes with this product attached, it flexes easily in the height direction, reducing pressure on the heel and making it easier to put on the shoes. After putting on the shoes, it elastically returns to its original position, enhancing the hold on the heel and providing stable protection while maintaining the shape of the heel of the shoe.
