Abstract

As shown in the reference perspective drawing, this item is a handbag made by weaving PP bands (polypropylene strapping bands) to create a basket body and handles also made by weaving PP bands. The sides of the basket are woven so that areas with and without a floral pattern appear roughly alternately. Three PP bands of the same color make up one set, and two sets of three PP bands of different colors are selected. These sets of three can be woven alternately to create the base pattern. Furthermore, to make the floral pattern appear, PP bands cut in half are woven into the center of the floral pattern, and PP bands cut into thirds or quarters are woven diagonally to create this pattern.
