Nursing care cushion

Abstract

The article relating to the present design is a care cushion used in care settings. In the end view of the cross section along lines B-B' and C-C', the vertical solid lines visible inside the cushion represent partition fabric. Reference Figure 5 shows a lateral position using a conventional cushion with a triangular cross-section, and the arrows in the figure indicate the direction of the feeling of slipping that the care recipient experiences. The care cushion relating to the present design, as shown in Reference Figure 6, allows for easy repositioning from supine to lateral by inserting one long section deeply into the back, while the other long section acts as a bunker support to prevent the care recipient from slipping. In Reference Figure 6, the function of the bunker support is illustrated by arrows.
