Optical fiber sensor head

Abstract

This product is a sensor head for optical fibers, as shown in the reference figure, which houses a light-emitting reflective member and a light-receiving reflective member, and inserts and holds the ends of a light-emitting fiber and a light-receiving fiber with a circular cross-section. The circular cross-sections of the light-emitting reflective member and the light-receiving reflective member are provided with reflective surfaces oblique to their axes, and an opening is provided on the upper surface of the sensor head to expose the reflective surfaces. Light emitted from the light-emitting optical fiber is reflected obliquely upward from the reflective surface of the light-emitting reflective member, projected out of the sensor head through the opening, reflected obliquely downward from the surface of the detected part (not shown), enters the sensor head through the opening, is reflected obliquely from the reflective surface of the light-receiving reflective member, and is led out of the sensor head through the light-receiving fiber.
