Abstract

This product is an animal trap, or box trap, for capturing large wild animals such as bears and wild boars. As shown in the schematic cross-sectional diagrams A-A 1 and 2 illustrating the state of use, the trap is held at a high position with the opening open, waiting for an animal to enter. When an animal enters the trap and bites the bait, the bait moves towards the opening, causing an auxiliary device to move in the opposite direction. This releases the lock between the tip of the auxiliary device and the locking hole formed in the trap door, causing the trap door to descend and close the opening, thus capturing the animal. This product is made using metal flooring (scaffolding boards) used to secure the footing of workers and allow them to work safely when working at heights, such as at construction sites. Specifically, two rectangular scaffolding boards, each consisting of a metal outer frame, multiple slats placed inside the outer frame, and wire mesh covering the entire surface, are connected with bolts. Five of these connected scaffolding boards are then connected to create a rectangular body with one side open. Furthermore, the closing door that seals the opening is made by connecting two scaffolding planks with bolts, and is able to move up and down along a pair of long vertical guides provided on the opening side of the main body. In this way, by using metal scaffolding planks that are strong and low cost, it became possible to manufacture a high-strength, low-cost animal trap that can withstand large animals. In addition, as shown in the reference perspective view of the closing door, vertically extending guide members are attached to both the left and right ends of the closing door. The lower ends of these guide members protrude below the lower end of the closing door, forming a portion that penetrates into the ground, and when the closing door is in the closed position, this portion penetrates into the ground, keeping the closing door closed.
