Swaddle

Abstract

The article relating to this design is a swaddle used to wrap around the body of an infant. This article is used to suppress the Moro reflex (a reflex that causes infants to curl up when startled) and to induce stable sleep. When in use, the infant is placed in the storage space of the main body, and the infant's body is secured by overlapping a pair of connecting pads (which can be attached and detached with hook-and-loop fasteners, etc.). Gathers (pleats) are formed on both sides of the main body, allowing the infant's arms to be wrapped around it three-dimensionally without feeling constricted. Elastic bands are also provided at the top and bottom of the main body (head side and leg side), allowing the size of the opening to be adjusted. In particular, the opening on the leg side has the function of allowing diaper checks and changes without completely removing the swaddle.
