Ankle joint indexing device

Abstract

This item is an ankle joint indexing device for transmitting tension to an ankle strap to index the ankle joint of a patient whose ankle is threaded through the ankle strap. The names of each part of the ankle joint indexing device are shown in the reference perspective drawing illustrating the names of each part. A portion of the ankle strap is also shown in the same drawing by a dashed line. The string-like ankle strap is connected to the arm of the ankle joint indexing device by passing the folded end through the arm and fitting it into a notch. The ankle joint indexing device has a support column holder, a support column, and a main body, with the support column holder being screwed to the accessory rail of the operating table. The support column holder holds and supports the support column. The upper end of the support column is connected to the main body. The ankle joint indexing device also has a feed screw, a grip part, and a nut part. The main body has a pair of pivot supports, which pivotally support the feed screw. One end of the feed screw is fixed to the grip part. The lead screw engages with the nut, and by rotating the grip, the operator can move the nut and the arm fixed to the nut in the direction of the arrow. The arm's slider is fixed to the nut. This allows the operator to apply tension to the ankle strap to pull the ankle joint by operating the ankle joint indexing device.
