Abstract
The article relating to this design is a roughly rectangular frame unit for prefabricated houses, with columns, bases, and beams made of wood. Other frame units relating to the same design can be connected to the frame unit in the horizontal and vertical directions. Each part enclosed by the columns and bases / beams on the front, back, left and right sides, top, and bottom surfaces is an opening, as shown in the reference perspective view. The prefabricated house is completed by installing walls, fittings, ceiling materials, or flooring materials to each opening. As shown in the reference perspective view, two bases and one column intersecting at each of the four corners located at the bottom of the frame unit are connected with metal fittings, and two beams and one column intersecting at each of the four corners located at the top of the frame unit are connected with metal fittings. The reference exploded perspective view shows the connection structure between the lower end of the column and the metal fitting. As shown in this figure, a cross-shaped slit is formed at the lower end of the column, extending upward from the lower end surface. The slit penetrates between two sides of opposing columns. Furthermore, gusset plates, assembled in a cross shape when viewed from above, are erected on the top surface of the metal fitting, and these gusset plates are inserted into the slits from the lower end surface of the column. The connection structure between the upper end of the column and the metal fitting is similar. As can be seen from the exploded perspective view, a portion of the gusset plates is visible from the outside through the slits.
