Abstract

This product is a wall panel mounting bracket for attaching exterior materials such as tiles to wall materials such as ALC (autoclaved lightweight concrete) panels. The wall panel mounting bracket has a through hole in the center of a roughly circular reinforcing plate, and screw holes are drilled at the top and bottom of the reinforcing plate. The exterior side of the through hole is tapered, and a locking nut is welded to the structural side of the through hole. The reinforcing plate is attached by cutting a groove in the structural side of the wall material, fitting the reinforcing plate into it, and fastening it to the wall material by passing screws through the screw holes. To attach a hat-shaped furring strip that will bear the load on the exterior side of the wall material, a bolt is passed from the exterior side to the structural side and screwed into the locking nut on the reinforcing plate. In the case of wall materials in which the reinforcing plate is embedded, the reinforcing plate is not visible from the exterior side, so if the position of the bolt and the through hole do not match, the reinforcing plate will be pushed in. However, the reinforcing plate can be retrofitted on-site at the position where the bolt will pass through, and slight misalignment can be corrected by guiding the bolt into the through hole due to the tapered shape. By fixing the reinforcing plate to the wall material with screws, the reinforcing plate does not rotate when screwing it in, and it eliminates the need for two people to work on the exterior and structural sides as in the conventional method, allowing one person to work even if the space on the structural side is narrow.
