Abstract
This product is an air chuck used for inflating vehicle tires. An example of the product in use is shown in the reference diagram. As shown in the reference diagram, this product comprises a cylindrical body and head, and a hollow connecting member that connects the body and head. The connecting member is made of a flexible material, such as resin. The head is provided with a grip for the operator to grasp during operation, and one end of the head is provided with a head that can be connected to a tire valve. The other end of the head is connected to the body via the connecting member. An air supply passage is formed inside the body (not shown), and the air supply passage can be opened and closed by an open / close button provided on the body. When the open / close button is pressed from the outside of the body, the air supply passage opens, and air is supplied from an air source (not shown) connected to the other end of the body. When the open / close button is not pressed, the air supply passage is kept closed. A pressure gauge is provided on the body, and the operator can check the pressure of the supplied air by checking the meter on the pressure gauge. Next, the function of this product will be explained. As shown in the reference diagram, first, the operator grasps the grip of the head and presses the head against the tire valve. This makes it possible to supply air from the air source to the tire. In this state, the operator presses the open / close button with their fingers. This opens the air supply passage, and air from the air source is supplied to the tire by passing through the main body, connecting member, and head in that order. At this time, since this product has a separate structure in which the main body and head are connected by a flexible connecting member, the operator can operate the main body and head with separate hands. For example, as shown in the reference diagram, the operator can grasp the head with their right hand and press the head against the valve while grasping the main body with their left hand and working. Thus, the operator can adjust the main body and head to any desired position. In other words, the operator can adjust the position of the main body arbitrarily, regardless of the position of the head. This allows the operator to adjust the position of the main body so that the meter of the pressure gauge provided on the main body is always easily visible. As a result, this product makes it extremely easy to inflate tires.
