Abstract
The articles to which this design pertains are interiors for restaurants, designed to provide a comfortable and impressive spatial experience for restaurant patrons (customers). This design treats the entire interior space, including the ceiling and counter, as a single integrated design, with its constituent elements harmonizing with each other while creating a unique aesthetic. This design is unique in that it integrates the stepped ceiling, hexagonal decorative panels, and the curved form leading to the counter into a single, unified structure. Specifically, the stepped, three-dimensional structure of the ceiling gives the entire space depth and breadth. In addition, hexagonal decorative panels are placed on the ceiling surface, giving customers a geometric yet organic and unified impression, creating a futuristic and sophisticated atmosphere. The design of these exposed (front) parts of the ceiling, when combined with lighting, creates multi-layered shadows, resulting in different spatial expressions depending on the time of day and usage. Furthermore, the form from the ceiling to the counter, by continuously combining straight and curved lines, gives the entire space a smooth and organic sense of continuity. This configuration allows customers to naturally move through the space as their gaze moves along the vertical axis, enabling them to enjoy a unified spatial experience without feeling confined. Curvilinear forms are also adopted in the counter area to harmonize with the overall design concept, appropriately adjusting the distance between customers and restaurant staff while creating an impression that is both approachable and sophisticated. As a result, customers are provided with a comfortable stay that goes beyond simply being a place to eat and drink. Thus, this design achieves a strong sense of unity and unique spatial individuality as a whole by designing the main components such as the ceiling and counter in a unified manner. As a result, it is possible to leave a strong impression on customers, enhance the brand image of the restaurant, and further strengthen its commercial appeal.
