Abstract

The stretch film packaging machine according to this design is used to wrap and package items such as cardboard boxes, magazines, and newspapers by wrapping them with stretch film. The outer ring, which is the radially outer ring of the double ring portion in the front view, is fixed in position by a support frame placed on a flat surface such as a workbench or work table. The inner ring, which is the radially inner ring of the double ring portion in the front view, is arranged radially inside the outer ring so as to be rotatable in the circumferential direction of the outer ring (front view with the inner ring rotated). A support rod, which is the part that protrudes forward in the front view, is arranged on the inner ring, extending in a direction perpendicular to the radial direction. A support plate that supports the item to be packaged in a direction perpendicular to the radial direction is supported radially inward on the inner ring by the support frame so as to be able to change and adjust its vertical position. As shown in the reference diagram illustrating the usage, a stretch film roll is attached to the support rod, the leading edge of the stretch film unwound from the stretch film roll is brought into contact with the item to be packaged placed on the support plate, and by gripping the end of the support rod and rotating the inner ring circumferentially relative to the outer ring, the stretch film is unwound from the stretch film roll, and the item to be packaged is wrapped. After wrapping is complete, the stretch film that is still being unwound from the stretch film roll is cut, and the item wrapped in stretch film is removed from the support plate. A retaining plate extending in the direction opposite to the direction in which the support plate extends is positioned so as to be vertically movable relative to the retaining plate support frame located above the outer ring. Wrapping with stretch film can be performed while the item to be packaged placed on the support plate is held in place from above by the retaining plate.
