Photo frame rear panel

Abstract

This item is a rear panel used in a photo frame that holds sheet-like display objects such as photographs and paintings between front and rear panels for visible display. It is integrally formed in a roughly rectangular shape from a transparent synthetic resin material such as acrylic or polycarbonate. As shown in all drawings except the rear view, the outer edge of the front side of this item has ribs of constant width and height that form a continuous frame. As shown in the plan view, front view, rear view, left side view, and right side view, hooks that protrude in a roughly cylindrical shape from the front side are provided on the line connecting the centers of the opposing long sides of this item and near the top edge, and on the line connecting the centers of the opposing short sides of this item and near the right edge. The lower part of the tip wall of the hook near the top edge and the subsequent lower outer perimeter wall are notched, and the left part of the tip wall of the hook near the right edge and the subsequent left outer perimeter wall are notched. As described later, the tip of a hook that has been fixed to the wall beforehand can be received through the notch of either of these hooks, allowing the photo frame to be held on the wall in any orientation, vertically or horizontally. In addition, the four corners I to L shown in the reference front view are rounded in an arc shape with a small radius (for example, in the range of 1.5 mm to 2.5 mm) that does not impair the sharp design of the transparent rectangular panel and does not cause damage when touched by hand, as shown in the respective reference enlarged views. The shape is designed to be safe without compromising the sharp impression. As shown in the cross-sectional views along lines CC, DD, GG, and HH, circular holes are formed through the four corners of this article from the front to the back side for integrally connecting a transparent front panel of approximately the same size as this article when it is superimposed. This item is connected to the front panel in an overlapping manner, as shown in the reference side view illustrating the state of use, by connecting decorative bolts and connecting decorative nuts threaded through the holes in the four corners. It constitutes a photo frame that holds exhibits such as photographs (not shown) sandwiched between the front and back so that they can be seen from the front side of the item. It can be wall-mounted in a horizontal or vertical orientation by attaching the tip of a hook fixed to the wall to one of the hooks on this item.Furthermore, by extending the length of one of the four connecting decorative bolts to create legs, it is possible to install the unit in a tilted position on a tabletop, in addition to wall mounting.
