Abstract

The article relating to this design is a rail fastening bolt used to fasten a rail to a support structure such as a sleeper using a leaf spring, with a flanged nut pre-attached to the male thread, as shown in the reference diagrams illustrating the functions of each part. This rail fastening bolt is fixed to the support structure by rotating the flanged nut, as shown in the reference diagrams illustrating the functions of each part, and an adjustment washer is inserted between the washer retainer and the leaf spring. When there is a gap between the bottom of the rail and the support structure, as shown in reference diagram 1 illustrating the state of use, the flanged nut is lifted to eliminate this gap and the leaf spring is pushed down, as shown in reference diagram 2 illustrating the state of use, and the adjustment washer is inserted into the gap formed between the pushed-down leaf spring and the washer retainer, as shown in reference diagram 3 illustrating the state of use, thereby fastening the rail to the support structure.
