Positive airway pressure device

Abstract

This product is the main unit of a positive airway pressure (CPAP) device, used, for example, in the treatment of sleep apnea syndrome (SAS). A positive airway pressure (CPAP) device, also known as a CPAP device, works by supplying pressurized air to the user's airway to prevent apnea during sleep, thereby reducing snoring and improving sleep quality. The main unit has a hose connection port, to which a hose with a mask attached is connected. This product has a heating function to warm the supplied air and a humidification function to humidify the supplied air. These can be set by operating the heating button (lower left button on the display) and the humidification button (lower right button on the display), respectively, located on the flat panel. The display on the flat panel shows the current heating and humidification settings using bar graphs and text. In the initial state, when both heating and humidification settings are off, the display shows the screen shown in [Enlarged view of display and control panel]. If the heating button is pressed again when the heating setting is High, the heating setting returns to the Off state. In the state shown in [Enlarged view of the display and control panel], when the humidification button is operated, each time the humidification button is pressed, the humidification setting switches in the order of Off → Low → Medium → High, and the screen transitions sequentially from [Enlarged view of the display and control panel showing the changed state 4] to [Enlarged view of the display and control panel showing the changed state 6]. If the humidification button is pressed again when the humidification setting is High, the humidification setting returns to the Off state. The heating and humidification settings can also be set in combination, such as heating to Low and humidification to Low.
