Abstract

This item is a hat with a face cover. The face cover is made of light-blocking fabric and has strings attached to both sides of its upper edge, allowing it to be suspended from the hat. The distance from the hat to the face cover can be adjusted using the strings, protecting the wearer's face and neck from ultraviolet rays and other elements. One end of the string is connected to one side of the upper edge of the face cover, and the other end is connected to the other side of the upper edge of the face cover. As shown in the AA cross-sectional view and the reference diagram, the string is routed from above the wearer's ears, through the sweatband and side crown towards the back of the head, and pulled out through a through-hole at the back of the head to the top of the brim. The length can be adjusted using a cord stopper, allowing the face cover to be suspended from the hat. Because the face cover is made of fabric, when the wearer is not wearing the hat, the face cover hangs vertically downwards from the hat, but this represents a state close to when the wearer is wearing the hat.
