Enhanced transmission medium usage for collocated wireless devices

Abstract

To provide systems, methods and devices for improving medium usage of wireless devices.SOLUTION: The methods include: determining multiple protection frames should be used for a first radio and a second radio based at least in part on an interference parameter, where the first radio and the second radio are collocated in the same wireless device; determining one or more transmission parameters associated with at least one of the radios, the one or more transmission parameters representing a first duty cycle of the first radio and a second duty cycle of the second radio; and determining the number of protection frames and a protection frame duration based at least in part on the one or more transmission parameters.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
