Abstract

To provide an optical element that can sufficiently reduce reflectance in the entire area in a lens surface.SOLUTION: Optical elements (300, 301, 302) have substrates (200, 201, 202) and anti-reflection films (100, 101, 102). The anti-reflection films comprise first layers (01, 11, 21) formed on the substrates and second layers (02, 12, 22) formed on the first layers. The first layer and the second layer each contain an organic compound. The refractive index ns of the substrate at a wavelength of 550 nm, the refractive index n1 of a first layer at a wavelength of 550 nm, the refractive index n2 of a second layer at a wavelength of 550 nm, the physical film thickness d1 (nm) of the first layer, and the physical film thickness d2 (nm) of the second layer satisfy predetermined conditional expressions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
