Abstract

To provide a zoom lens which is advantageous in terms of a high zoom ratio, superior optical performance, and compactness.SOLUTION: A zoom lens disclosed herein comprises a first lens group with positive refractive power configured to be stationary for zooming, a second lens group with negative refractive power, a third lens group with positive refractive power, and a fourth lens group with positive refractive power arranged in order from the object side to the image side, and is configured such that a distance between each pair of adjacent lens groups changes while zooming. The zoom lens satisfies the following conditional expressions: 26<νdG1<110, 0.00<f1 / f3<1.92, -25.0<M2 / M3<-4.5, 10<ft / fw<100, where νdG1 represents an Abbe number of the most object-side lens of the first lens group, f1 represents a focal length of the first lens group, f3 represents a focal length of the third lens group, M2 represents a difference in position of the second lens group between the wide-angle end and the telephoto end, M3 represents a difference in position of the third lens group between the wide-angle end and the telephoto end, and ft represents a focal length at the telephoto end, fw represents a focal length at the telephoto end, where M2 and M3 bear the positive sign when respective lens groups are located more on the image side of at the telephoto end than at the wide-angle end.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
